I’ve been working with industry leaders to create new free educational resources for cave divers. In the process we have revisited skills to ensure relevance, international flavor and the safest protocols we couldĀ find. Something that was new to many of us was having each team member place a personal marker on the primary reel running into the cave. It is good accounting and will also prevent accidental removal by another team. The cave diving community is growing and in many parts of the world, numerous reels are run into the cave at the same time and many look very similar. I love this new procedure and hope you will too.

Thanks to experts Gemma Smith and Paul Toomer for showing how it is done!
